David began his venture capital career in 1997. Prior to founding Correlation Ventures, David was a Managing Director of Hamilton BioVentures, an early-stage venture capital fund based in San Diego. As head of Hamilton’s Life Science team, David served on the Board of Directors of such companies as PhotoThera, Transcept (NASDAQ: TSPT), and Egea Biopharmaceuticals (Acquired by Johnson&Johnson). Previously, David was a Venture Partner at Windamere Venture Partners and President of Forge Medical Ventures, an early-stage incubator funded by Enterprise Partners, Mayfield Fund and Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation. David was the Founder of Spine Wave, a venture-funded medical device company and Director of Business Development of UroMed Corporation (URMD), a venture-funded startup that raised several rounds of venture capital and completed a public offering. David received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Princeton University.

- Trevor Kienzle, Managing Director

Trevor began his venture capital career in 1997. Prior to co-founding Correlation Ventures, Trevor was a Managing Director of Newbury Ventures, a technology-focused venture capital fund headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. There, he led investments in the technology sector, including in such companies as MetaLINCS (acquired by Seagate) and Onaro (acquired by NetApp). Previously, Trevor was Vice President at GE Equity, the $2 billion venture capital arm of GE Capital, most recently as co-head of the Software Group. He had responsibility for a team of investment professionals managing 26 portfolio companies. He led GE Equity’s investments in Okena (acquired by Cisco), SecureWorks (acquired by Dell) and RSA Security (RSAS) (successful PIPE investment, acquired by EMC) and he co-led its investment in Netscreen (NSCN, acquired by Juniper). Trevor also was co-founder and CFO of Loans USA (acquired by Mariner Finance). Prior to that, he worked as a management consultant to the financial services industry at Deloitte & Touche LLC as well as Furash & Company, and as an investment banker at Bankers Trust Company. The son of a U.S. diplomat, Trevor has lived in seven foreign countries. He received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a B.A. with distinction from the University of Virginia.

- Grace Chui-Miller, Chief Financial Officer

Grace has over 15 years of financial and accounting experience, with substantial expertise within the venture capital industry. Most recently, Grace was the Chief Financial Officer of DCM, a technology-focused venture capital fund based in the Bay Area with more than $1.5 billion under management. Grace worked at DCM from 1999 to 2006, during which time the firm raised four funds of increasing size, culminating in a $500 million fund raised in 2006. Previously, Grace spent seven years at KPMG LLP, working as an audit manager on various privately and publicly-held clients in the financial services and information technology industry segments, including a number of venture capital funds and venture-funded companies. She received a B.A. in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles. Grace is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.

- Anu Pathria, Partner, Analytics

For nearly 20 years, Anu has developed and delivered successful commercial solutions built around predictive analytics. Beginning in the early 1990’s at HNC Software as Executive Director of Modeling, Anu co-developed the Falcon credit card fraud detection system currently responsible for protecting over 60% of credit card transactions in real-time and world-wide—a groundbreaking product that fueled HNC’s 1995 IPO. During Anu’s tenure at HNC, the company grew from 40 employees in 1992 to more than 1,000 by the end of the decade. In 1997, he co-launched the Healthcare division within HNC Software. In 2000, Anu co-founded Burning Glass Technologies, applying predictive analytics techniques to Human Capital Management. After HNC was acquired in 2002 by Fair Isaac for over $800 million, Anu re-joined the company to launch and manage Fair Isaac’s India operation, currently the company’s largest single facility. He later took leadership of Fair Isaac’s Healthcare & Insurance Analytics business unit. Anu received a B.S. (Double Honors) in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in Canada, and also holds a Masters in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley.
